I hope you are doing well. This week, we were confronted with the realization that we need more power. Not just more of our own power. We need God’s power.
Anytime we work towards making positive changes, we are likely to get stuck. The tough part is if we continue to fail in the same area of our lives, we can begin to feel dead inside, overwhelmed with shame.
Maybe you have been working on your new habit, and you’ve stalled out. Or maybe you have been training hard toward your goal, and you are running low on energy. Whatever you are working towards, I have good news!
“You can’t, but God can. And God will if you turn to his power.”
-Craig Groeschel
“Now, wait a minute! I thought you said you had good news.” I do! Check this out! “The same power that got Jesus out of a grave, resurrected from death to life, is available to you.”[1] This means that our success is not solely up to us! But we must learn to tap into God’s power.
Reflection
- Where are you stuck? What goals have you been working towards that you just can’t complete on your own? Maybe it’s time to surrender those goals to God and ask him for his power.
Prayer
God, I have been training hard, but I don’t have what it takes to do this on my own. I need your supernatural power to help me finish strong.
Remember
“God will continue giving you new life in your dead places until his work is complete in you.”
